Leading civil-survey firm has a PROJECT SURVEYOR (PLS / LSIT) position available.
The Project Surveyor is largely responsible for project research, computations, preparation of drawings, and survey department functions in performing boundary, topographic, ALTA and other related survey activities.
Major responsibilities include review title documents and supplemental survey records and prepares survey documents from same, direct the preparation of detailed plat and ALTA maps and exhibits performing independent analysis of research material and field data, performs boundary computations and analysis and writes legal descriptions, may serve as project manager and client contact on selected projects, prepares research for survey control and other related data for use by field crews, prepares maps in AutoCAD format, draft legal descriptions for easements and prepares exhibits for same, attend client meetings (day or night, as required), instruct CAD Operators and technicians to reduce field survey data to preliminary and final drawings, review and respond to agency correspondence regarding survey maps and related documents, assist in the education and development of CAD Operators and technicians.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
A Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) license is preferred for the position. The successful candidate must have a valid Washington State Driver’s license and have a safe driving record.
