Purpose
Work with management to prepare and finalize documents for remote sensing projects, including but not limited to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Lidar / photogrammetry projects, terrestrial mobile mapping, volume calculations, data extractions, and 3D modeling, in accordance with company standards, municipal / jurisdictional requirements, survey standards, and client requirements. May calculate mapmaking information and create maps from source data, such as surveying notes, aerial photography, satellite data, or other maps. May verify accuracy and completeness of topographical maps.
Key Responsibilities
At the Operational and Company Level
Process, register, analyze, and provide QA/QC of internally collected mobile and UAS aerial LiDAR and photogrammetry data.
Do the Work
Process trajectory information and LiDAR sensor data into usable point clouds, including adjustment to project specific survey datums, quality control and reporting.
Compile mapping features from photogrammetry, mobile and terrestrial LiDAR point clouds for topographic surveys.
Perform in-depth point cloud classifications.
Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to oversee the start and completion of projects with minimal supervision.
Perform in-depth point cloud classifications.
Identify data inconsistencies and communicate with the appropriate resources to provide accurate data updates as needed.
Ensure quality standards for data collection, post processing, adjustments, final product creation, and client project requirements are met.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with all levels of company management and fellow employees.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Associates degree preferred.
Minimum three to five (3-5) years’ similar survey and mapping experience in the land survey industry.
FAA Part 107 license preferred.
Civil3D, MicroStation, Terrasolid, TopoDOT, PLS-CADD and other 3D Modelling Software’s experience is preferred.
Knowledge of ArcGIS, Global Mapper or other GIS software.
Ability to learn basic design concepts and technical calculations.
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
