We currently seeking a talented and organized LiDAR Survey professional to join our Geomatic Technologies Team. The candidate must possess a strong background in survey or geomatics and be familiar with LiDAR data.
The candidate must have excellent analytical skills. This position is responsible for LiDAR production support and support of field operations. Projects will include data processing and collection for environmental, municipality, oil and gas and transportation projects.
Responsibilities:
Process LiDAR data in TopoDot, TerraScan or other LiDAR software packages.
Support field LiDAR acquisition projects.
Strong familiarity with MicroStation and/or Civil3D.
Ability to create, edit, and work with surfaces from topographic survey points.
Strong knowledge of InRoads and Civil3D surfaces, points, corridors, profile and section views.
Able and willing to travel for assignments, including multi-day field work assignments.
Requirements:
4-year degree in Survey, Geomatics or a related degree.
1+ year LiDAR data processing.
1+ year conventional surveying.
Experience with Riegl mobile mapping systems a plus.
Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.
Highly motivated, must be able to work well collaboratively or independently.
Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
Self-starter, and able to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities.
Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
General working knowledge of land survey techniques preferred.
Experience with the use of RTK-GPS and Total Station equipment a plus.
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience.
Salary Range: $40,000 - $75,000 Yr.
