Ray Carlson and Associates is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor who desires to work in the field and office, one who would possibly be interested in future business opportunities.

Ray Carlson and Associates, Inc. is a well-respected private Land Surveying and GIS company located in the beautiful wine country of Sonoma County, in Northern California. In business for over 45 years, serving in a unique niche market share that includes agricultural, vineyards and wineries, commercial, local agency and residential clients to achieve their project and estate goals.
Key Expectations:
• Professionalism with a responsible and ambitious work ethic, willing to lead.
• Experience with CADD and Civil3D, UAV, and Trimble Office and Field Software.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
Duties:
• Office and field project management of crew members and field surveys.
• Ability to prepare Record of Surveys, Boundary surveys, ALTA, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Staking, legal descriptions, and boundary resolution.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying or related field.
• California Professional Land Surveyor Registration.
• Preferred five years of progressive experience management.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.
Hours: 40 hours per week. Overtime will be required based on project needs.
What we offer:
• Full time Land Surveyor wage scale for this position is hourly and is dependent upon experience and proven ability.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit at a desk and use computer with related tools for an average 8 hour work shift. Vision to independently view computer screen or printed materials and graphics. Possess mobility to work in an outside setting including construction sites and in traffic for an average 8 hour shift. Must be prepared to bend, crouch, lift, and twist to carry out job duties. Lift and carry instruments weighing up to 50 pounds over rough terrain. Perform tasks such as clearing vegetation (including poison oak), digging holes, hiking, and/or pounding stakes with hand tools. Ability to operate motor vehicle, including four-wheel driving on steep ranch roads and drive an ATV. Hearing and speech skills to effectively communicate in English in person and over the telephone or two-way radio.
